Reservation:my take

As usual mr. ramdoss is quite bullish on providing 27% reservation in A.I.I.MS , a precedence has been set which may repeat now in I.I.T and I.I.M and in future it may cover some of private and government colleges as well .

Well fact of the matter is these so called guardians of social justice are themselves ignoring the social set up of the india:

1) Well why is the caste or religion a necessary criteria in giving reservation why not economic status , even in the case of this 27% reservation most of the creamy layer in the s.c and s.t will exploit this and those who need them badly even in lower caste will be ignored , thats where economic status comes into play apart from real poor people in lower caste large number of ignored generals as well as minority are in deplorable condition

2)If government is so serious about social justice they should try to expand the government school and more money should be spend there to increase the facilities there as this is the platform to attract poor with negligible fee and sometime free meal because the truth is large number of young poor students hardly continue their schooling period

3)Rservation in premier student will it not kill talent , these young student slog it out day and night to enter into these premier colleges , an excuse of increase of seat has come into play , will it not affect the moral of those who did not get through , atmosphere inside these colleges to is competative where u have to enhance ur skill chances are those who entered here WITH RESERVATION will find the it difficult to survive or may take it longer duration to atleast come on par with others is it not waste of resources?(specially in these institutes who had build their brand with quality)

4)Instead of reservation why not a genral and more defined scholarship program for poor is acceptable just because it will not increase ur votes what more can u except from these political parties who now themselves are doing their politics on caste and religion

KHUDA KAY LIYE : MY REVIEW

Well as a movie khuda kay liye touched many hard hitting reality and is quite refreshing . Well the movie primarily heighlights the dilemma of moderate muslim and the struggle which they are facing from extremist muslim. The movie shows the 3 story of 3 different individuals mansoor, sarmad and marry who belong to same family and their struggle which they face in their life.Mansoor in the movie represents the thoughtful modern day liberal muslim , sarmad his brother is the confused lot who is crossed between the path of liberalization and extremism while marry represents product of western setup who likes the western culture and consider Britain as her country .
Mansoor and sarmad are musicians by profession who belongs to a liberal family in Lahore , while rehearsing for a new year eve in 2000 the younger brother sarmad faces the backlash of extremist group and finally comes in contact with a maulana and there starts his transformation (more precisely brainwash) where he gets the concept that music is haram in islam and slowly he starts to lose contact with his brother and later with family. Marry their cousin is a british national who has inherited western culture and and even has a gora boyfriend who belongs to different faith( Christianity) , in the name of honour her father wants a muslim son in law but he himself is associated in a live in relationship with a white which highlights the typical male hypocricy .Marry’s father fools her around by taking her to a trip to Pakistan by stating that after their return she will be married to the person of her choice . In the name of religion marry is forcefully married to sarmad her cousin in the tribal town of waziristan away from the main city of Lahore and samad’s family , finally her father left her and she lives the life of a hostage and later gets raped so that she will have children to avoid her escaping acts . Movie here highlights some of the evils practices done by some mullah where a girls is forcibly married to a younger boy and finally gets raped in the name of honour , also it highlights the term zihad and how some mullah has made it an abuse now by brainwashing some of the young and even some educated youth to .Further the elder brother mansoor travels to u.s and gets admission in a musical school and slowly falls in love and gets married to a white Christian . Some of his scenes with his ladylove is worth watching especially his dig on I.Q OF AMERICANS and his claim that pakis as the one who ruled India and spain for a long time( which was hilarious ) and his introductory musical song which radha used to sing for krishan which he uses as introduction for eastern music on his musical class ,with time he faces the racial discrimination after 9/11 and gets detained ( well having a extremist bother does not help matter to), he suffers some of the most inhuman torture and finally breaks down and gets paralysed , Shaan deleivers a superb performance as a tough man while facing the torture and finally as a paralytic man when he meets his wife for last time when he is about to be deported . Movie provides a strong climax where marry take her father and her cousin to court to to fight for her right in a male dominated society , overall the movie has a real powerful script though it tends to be melodramatic in climax and has flaws ,as performers shaan stands out for rest there is nothing much to write about though iman ali look hot , film lacks strong production value but has some good musical tone , overall is is watchable for the way it shows many issues courageously

water

The movie deals with, the widows of Benaras and their oppression, in the late 1930s. The whole setting is wonderfully reconstructed, though I didn't really figure out what Water had to do with it.
It no doubt had a commanding screen presence and makes an appearance in many scenes. It probably also symbolises, the Hindu religion, that although expansive and well-defined in its flow, can be skillfully shaped up, to the needs of those who read the scriptures - the Brahmins.
It might represent the time-frame of a widow's life from the instant, her husband's ashes meet the waters till the time she (or her ashes) drown themselves.
It could stand for innumerous tears that are suppressed.
Or it could be something different altogether.

Unlike, Dor where, the widow did love her husband & missed him, Water speaks of girls, not even in their teens, widowed before they met their husbands, for whom they could have no possible affection. Also, while we feel sad for Meera, what happens to the playful Chuhiya, only about 7 yrs. old, is graphicaly brutal. The setting of the ashram, with the same grief multiplied in each inmate, is gripping. We learn, during the course of the movie, that Manu allows, a widow only 3 forms of life. A Sati (death in the pyre of her husband), or a life devoid of earthly pleasures, or (subject to consent of the family) a marriage to the younger brother of the dead husband. While it seemingly, subjects the widow to the mercy of others, it also ensures that she is not left uncared for. In a male-hounding society, it gave the widow a slight immunity against being subject to humiliation.as per Hinduism, there is no action that ever goes unaccounted for. Each action has to be redeemed and its fruits (bitter or sweet) to be consumed. Hence, in light of such atrocities, the overwhelming anti-brahminical sentiments that are running amok all over the country start to appear.

chak de india:my review

The film starts with Kabir Khan failing 2 score a penalty shot and our Team India loses the final against PAKis in da final of World cup. He is labelled as traitor and he goes in oblivion to resurface after 7 years to take up da challenge as the Coach of Indian National Women’s Hockey team(loosely based on the true story of former hockey goalkeeper and coach Mir Ranjan Negi, who was charged with allegations of match-fixing after India’s humiliating defeat to Pakistan in the 1982 Asian Games hockey final. Seven years later, Negi’s honour was restored. He coached the national women’s hockey team that won gold at the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games).
Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh), former hockey captain of India, returns to the field as the coach of the Indian women’s national hockey team that exists more on paper and less in reality. The team is a bunch of girls with their own agenda. How kabir handels them, how he changes them and how in the end these girls brings kabirs lost respect back is the main story. The screenplay and script was quite good. Great Script by Jaideep Sahni. All the 5 major girls deleivered very good performances well i liked most out of them was komal chautala followed closely by angry punjaban. Shahrukh khan was excellent from start till end. Some of the scenes really stand out especially the girls intro, their pre interval carnage and finally the climax. Its a must watch movie and most importantly watch it for direction of shimit, great scriptwork from jaideep and finally srk ,his acting, expressions, screen presence, dialogue delivery all looks perfect this one comes in his top performances along with Kabhi haan Kabhi naa,Devdas & SWADES.All and all brave effort of Shimit Amin and Jaideep Sahni.Must watch it once for a bunch of actors who really fitted on to their roles.

dhokha:my take

Dhokha as a film deals with hindu muslims relation in india(with a hidden noble message that both green and saffron are the part of tri-colour and without them it is incompleate) as well as it distinguishes between good and terrorist muslims.
Plot begins with Zaid ahmed khan who is an honest a.c.p (who in his past aspired to be a singer as well had an ex-flame) is happy in his relationship with his wife saara untill he discovered his wife passed away in a terrorist bomb explosion after in shocking turn of event his wife is accused of being suicide bomber and killing 20 other innocents from the results of interrogation which he refuses to beleive as he has always known his wife as noble soul .He faces the public anger but refused to quit in his resolve untill he founds his wife was indeed a zihadi that begins his journey to start discovering about this hidden side of his wife and the reasons for her to take this path,on his way he found out the humiliation as well as the explotation of muslims(with refrence of kashmir and jihadi groups) as well as what the phyche of a suicide bomber is .How he handles these group and changes the mindset of his wifes younger brother to prevent another fidayeen attack is the main plot here. Its a brave subject and is certainly the best project that has come out of bhatt camp for a long while with a powerful script.Muzzamil Ibrahim does the great job for a newcomer and has a powerful screen presence along with dam good physique and looks an exciting talent .Tulip Joshi looks cute and is mostly used in picture frame with not a bigger role, other actress is simply a let down and is mostly used as glam quotient ,music is refreshing with some good soundtracks.
Gulshan grover excels ,ashutosh rana emerges nasty in just couple of frames compared to aawarapan, anupam kher provides the natural touch to his role. This is certainly one of the best products of bhatts and is simply the best for pooja overall a powerful movie with a powerful subject
